Los Angeles Union Station is getting ready to deck the halls and bring a little holiday magic to Downtown LA with its 11th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, November 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the station’s historic Ticket Concourse, this free, family-friendly celebration promises an evening filled with music, festive traditions and plenty of seasonal cheer.

Hosted by beloved Los Angeles personality and mid-century pop culture enthusiast Charles Phoenix, the festivities will feature an exciting lineup of entertainment. Mariachi Ausente will kick off the evening with lively traditional sounds, followed by a headline performance from the fabulous 10-piece big-band sensation Lizzy & the Triggermen, bringing vintage swing and holiday flair to the celebration.

Of course, no holiday gathering would be complete without Santa! Guests can snap photos with the man in red before he and his elves take center stage to lead the countdown to the lighting of Union Station’s spectacular 30-foot Christmas tree. Add in festive stilt walkers, a cookie counter serving sweet treats and the station’s dazzling holiday decorations, and you have all the ingredients for a memorable evening.

Now in its 11th year, the annual celebration continues Union Station’s tradition of bringing the Los Angeles community together through arts, culture and shared experiences. Beyond the opening ceremony, visitors can enjoy holiday displays throughout the station, including illuminated palm trees, oversized wreaths, sparkling ornaments, a menorah, and beautifully decorated trees in the Waiting Room and South Patio.

The holiday displays will remain on view through December 27, with the South Patio and its signature 30-foot tree open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
