Dwight Yoakam Brings Country Roots To Pacific Amphitheatre

There was something special about seeing country music royalty Dwight Yoakam take the stage at Costa Mesa’s Pacific Amphitheatre on Thursday, August 13. With the warm summer air and a crowd ready for a night of great country music, Yoakam delivered the kind of performance that reminded everyone why he has remained such a beloved artist for decades.

From the moment the music began, the audience was completely engaged. Yoakam’s unmistakable voice, guitar-driven sound and relaxed confidence filled the venue as he moved through songs spanning his remarkable career. The set included “Streets of Bakersfield,” “Little Sister,” “Please, Please Baby” and other familiar favorites, creating plenty of moments for longtime fans to sing along.

What made the evening particularly enjoyable was Yoakam’s ability to make a large outdoor venue feel personal.
