Julien-K Revives Dead By Sunrise for a Powerful One-Night Tribute to Chester Bennington

For fans of Chester Bennington, some songs carry memories that never fade. On August 1, those memories will come alive once again as Julien-K reunites a piece of Bennington's musical legacy by bringing Dead By Sunrise back to the stage for the first time in more than a decade at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.

The special performance marks a rare and emotional celebration of the music created outside of Linkin Park, shining a spotlight on Out of Ashes, the band's acclaimed 2009 album that showcased Bennington's deeply personal songwriting and artistic range.

Founding Dead By Sunrise members Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh will revisit selections from the album alongside Cris Hodges, frontman of In The End – The Linkin Park Experience and current vocalist for Grey Daze. Together, they aim to honor the spirit of the music while celebrating the enduring influence Chester continues to have on generations of fans.

For many, Out of Ashes represented a different creative chapter for Bennington. The album revealed a more introspective side of the legendary vocalist, blending alternative rock with emotionally charged lyrics that resonated far beyond its original release. Although the record has remained a favorite among fans, its songs have rarely been performed live since the band's original tour, making this performance one of the most anticipated tributes in recent memory.

The evening will be much more than a nostalgic reunion. Fans can also expect full performances from Julien-K and In The End – The Linkin Park Experience, creating a celebration of the music, friendships, and collaborations that helped shape one of modern rock's most influential eras.

Adding another layer of significance to the event is Cris Hodges, whose work with Grey Daze continues Chester Bennington's legacy in a meaningful way. Earlier this year, Grey Daze's single, "Monster You Adore," climbed into the Billboard Active Rock Top 10, introducing the band's music to a new generation while honoring its roots.

With Chester Bennington's influence continuing to inspire musicians and fans around the world, this one-night-only event promises to be more than a concert—it will be a heartfelt tribute to an artist whose voice, songwriting, and passion continue to resonate nearly a decade after his passing.

As anticipation builds, fans from across Southern California and beyond are expected to fill The Bellwether for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening celebrating the music, memories, and lasting legacy of Chester Bennington through the artists who helped create it.
