Paul Schalda Expands LATELY With Deluxe Edition and New Tour Dates

Indie folk singer-songwriter Paul Schalda is set to release a deluxe edition of his debut solo album, LATELY. Titled LATELY (COMPANIONS), the collection arrived August 6 via Skylark Soul Co. and features four new songs, including the newly released “Between Two Cities.”

Inspired by Schalda’s move from New York City to Dallas/Fort Worth, “Between Two Cities” reflects on the idea of having more than one place feel like home. The deluxe release also includes “AFYL,” an alternate version of “Anything For Love,” produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Adrian Quesada of The Black Pumas.

Originally released in November 2025, LATELY showcases Schalda’s blend of folk, soul, country and jazz influences. His career spans more than 20 years and includes work with Paul & the Tall Trees, Pablo, The Extradonaires and The Sha La Das, as well as touring with artists including Charles Bradley and The Budos Band.

Schalda is also set to join indie rock favorites Built to Spill as main support for select dates beginning in September and running through early October.

With LATELY (COMPANIONS), Schalda continues to explore the personal stories, places and relationships that have shaped his music.
