Nickelodeon Debuts Bedtime Stories with Ryan, a New Live-Action Storytime Series

Nickelodeon is bringing a calming new nighttime experience to young viewers with the debut of Bedtime Stories with Ryan, an original live-action storytime series created by Ryan Reynolds. The show premiered Monday, March 2, with its first season airing weeknights through March 13 on the Nick Jr. Channel from 9:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

The series features Reynolds reading a mix of classic and newly written bedtime stories as the narratives visually come to life around him. Through playful visuals and imaginative storytelling, the program is designed to create a relaxing wind-down experience for children while offering a shared moment for parents and families at the end of the day.

The first season consists of 10 episodes airing Monday through Friday during the two-week launch window. Each installment places Reynolds at the center of the storytime experience, where animated and live-action elements blend together to bring the tales to life in a warm and engaging setting.

Bedtime Stories with Ryan was created by Reynolds alongside producer George Dewey and directed by Vincent Peone. The series is executive produced by Kelly Girth, Kevin Hill and Victoria Shamshoyan for Maximum Effort, along with Pamela Duckworth and David Gandler for Fubo Studios. The production is created in partnership with ArtClass and Loon Productions, with music provided by Sleeping At Last.

Maximum Effort, Reynolds’ production company, has become known for developing films, television projects and branded content often infused with the actor’s signature humor and creativity. The studio is behind several high-profile productions including Deadpool and its sequels, Free Guy, The Adam Project and the sports documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.

For Nickelodeon, the series continues its long-standing mission of creating content designed specifically for young audiences. Now in its 46th year, the company has grown into the world’s leading entertainment brand for kids, with a global presence spanning television programming, digital platforms, consumer products, publishing and feature films.

With Bedtime Stories with Ryan, Nickelodeon adds a gentle, imaginative series to its lineup—one that blends storytelling, creativity and family-friendly entertainment to help children wind down before bedtime.
